Plus Size Pattern Pyramid Giveaway

It's arrived! In fact, it got to Australia from the UK in 4 days. That has to be some sort of record. I haven't had the chance to blog before now as I'm working 5 days (& doesn't that cut into my sewing time!).

So here is what I received from Fiona in the UK. There are so many patterns I had to split them into 2 photographs. (I considered splitting the pyramid in 2 but Fiona already has done that & there'd be 4 pyramids circling the globe..too many I feel).

Of course, I felt the pull of that Hot Patterns one straight away. I've never used one of those before so it went straight into the "keep" pile. 3 others went with it.

And I replaced them with these 4.

So...onto the giveaway part! Here are the rules (as copied & amended from Beajay's blog).

• Anyone, anywhere can enter the giveaway by posting a comment below by midnight Australian Eastern Daylight Saving time, Saturday 30th November 2013. You MUST have an active blog (reasons to become obvious).

Wooooo....I'm a winner!

I'm a bit excited cos I've won the Plus Size Pattern Pyramid over at Fiona's blog. So I've been grovelling through my pattern drawers for likely inclusions. Had to laugh...when I checked out Fiona's pics, one of the ones I've got is already in the pyramid.

Anyway...I am actually sewing at the moment. I'm making a tankini top toile for DD. We're off on a cruise in January (have I mentioned this before??) and she needs a new swimming costume. It's worked out pretty well except for the fact I used 1/2" elastic instead of 3/8". I will be making another one in rather lurid fluoro pink so watch out for a pic if DD allows her almost naked body to be photographed.
